Anand T M, hailing from India’s evergreen city of Thiruvananthapuram, possesses a viewpoint deeply committed to preserving our natural richness. His exposure to working with the Government of India’s quadrennial tiger census and other field estimation activities across various jungles nationwide highlights his dedication and perseverance in conservation. After Law College, Anand stepped into wildlife tourism through the Taj Safaris Naturalist Training Program, starting his journey in the Central Indian jungles. His time in the Leopard hills of Jawai, Rajasthan, provided a unique experience, tracking leopards and guiding guests amidst one of the world’s largest concentrations of wild leopards. Among all the forests he has worked in and visited, Kanha feels like a “home away from home.” While deep study and publishing works on birds are part of his academic pursuits, storytelling and interpretation are his daily routine. His excellent spotting skills, keen eye of a tracker, and the curiosity of a birdwatcher make him the most energetic presence in his safari vehicle every single time. He joined our team in 2024.
